FAQ
Good questions
Still wondering? Email support@oak-paw.com.
Is this a printed book?
No. Every Oakpaw cookbook is a digital PDF, so nothing is shipped and there’s nothing to wait for. You can read it on any phone, tablet, or computer, or print it at home on US Letter paper.
How do I get my cookbook?
Right after you pay, you’ll see a download button on your order confirmation page. We also email you the download link, usually within a few minutes.
Which book is right for my dog?
Pick by stage or need: The Puppy Kitchen for puppies, The Itchy Dog Kitchen for itchy, paw-licking dogs, The Happy Tummy Dog Kitchen for sensitive stomachs, More Good Years for dogs 7 and older, and Better Than the Bag for homemade treats.
Can I feed these recipes as full meals?
Each book shows two ways: as a topper on your dog’s regular food, or as a full meal. If home-cooked food makes up most of your dog’s diet, add a vitamin-mineral supplement made for homemade dog food, and check the plan with your vet.
How are portions and calories worked out?
Calories come from USDA FoodData Central values for each ingredient. Portions are based on your dog’s weight and life stage, so every recipe shows how much to serve.
Do the recipes replace a vet visit?
No. Our cookbooks are about everyday home cooking. If your dog is unwell, or itching or tummy trouble doesn’t settle, please see your vet. The books also explain when to call.
Can I get a refund?
Because your cookbook is delivered instantly, all sales are final. If your file doesn’t arrive or doesn’t open, email us and we’ll fix it or send it again. Details are in our Refund Policy.
How can I reach you?
